It’s Not Easy Being Green: Easy Life Release New Track ‘Earth’

Leicester quintet Easy Life have released their latest weird and wonderful music video, but this one’s actually rather poignant.

Posting on Facebook as the song was released, the band stated “The world is a f****d up place, sometimes it can feel terribly isolating. We are running out of resources and the future is looking pretty bleak.” The song references global warming as vocalist Murray Matravers sings “And we’re breathing the fumes fill the oceans with plastic / Then we fill up with junk food and ruin the classics.

The vibrant alternative R&B track ironically premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on her BBC Radio 1 show on Tuesday, and has already accumulated 112k YouTube views and 29k Spotify Plays. The video was shot in Morocco, and shows the band wandering around a trash planet. They worked with the renowned director Sophie Muller, who has previously worked with the likes of Kylie, Dido, Coldplay, Weezer, Beyonce and many more, as well as having won a Grammy, several MTV Awards, a Brit Award, and numerous UKMVA, MVPA, and Music Week awards.
