Kid Kapichi Q&A

Introduce yourselves –  tell us about you, your background, music and formation.

Kapichi is Jack (vocals and guitar), George (drums), Ben (vocals and guitar) and Eddie (bass) – we’re all from Hastings and have grown up playing all different music together since we were kids until one day we decided to get Kapichi together. Hastings is an amazing place and we’re proud to call it home.

What’s your favourite thing to do in Manchester or where do you aim for when visiting?

The Northern Quarter is always a good time, and Don Marco’s is the best Italian north of the Thames.

Which other artists are you going to try and check out at NBHD?

Deffo up for seeing The Blinders again, they were kind enough to show us around last time we were up. Really wanna catch Sports Team as well.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Robbie Williams.

Can you remember the first song you wrote when you were young? What was it called?

First one we did together was a tune called ‘Ice Cream’.

If you could have a meal with three musicians, dead or alive, who would it be?

Mozart, Lemmy & Biggy.

Tell us a story from your time on the road…

We’ve done a few Oceans 11 style heists of Krispy Kreme boxes from the service station. They taste all the sweeter.

What can people expect from your NBHD set?

Free Buckfast for the front row.

Plans for the rest of the year?

Looking forward to going on tour in Europe with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes in October – apart from that just getting our album sorted which has been wicked.
