Wait No More: The Sherlocks Share New Single From Upcoming Album

Indie rock collective The Sherlocks have treated us with the third lead single from their new album: ‘Waiting’. Upbeat, emotive and uplifting, the track premiered on Radio X Wednesday night, and proved exactly why the Sheffield four-piece are championed for making indie sound fresh again.

In an interview with Pure Grain Audio, vocalist/guitarist Kiaran Crook joked about the lyrics, saying “I was waiting for something myself – probably Brandon [Crook, drums] to get ready for snooker.”

It was recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool; the same place where The Smiths, Elbow and even Justin Beiber have resided for recording sessions. Produced by James Skelly (of The Coral), ‘Waiting’ follows on from ‘NYC (Sing It Loud) released in June, and ‘Magic Man’ in July. All three tracks hint at the alt-rock sound The Sherlocks will be going for in their second album Under Your Sky which is due for release on 4th October.
